History
Giacomo Biviano, Ettore Cavestro and Paolo Bonsignore worked together for many years at illy caffè, the Italian super premium coffee company.
Together they led the company through a very challenging time caused by an economic crisis, the launch of closed coffee systems (machine + capsule) that revolutionised home consumption habits – and an incredible spike in coffee prices.
These factors were not obstacles to the incredible growth that the company had, much to the contrary, they contributed to almost doubling its turnover in less than 10 years.

Founding Partners

Giacomo Biviano
After a brief sting in the medical business, Giacomo entered illy caffe in 1992 as Export Manager. Throughout his years there he covered many positions of increased responsibility until 2017, when he left the company as Deputy General Manager. He managed Sales, Marketing, International Development, Production, Logistics and M&A. He opened the French subsidiary of illy, leading the international development of the brand from a small niche coffee roaster to a worldwide point of reference in quality and sustainability.

Ettore Cavestro
Ettore joined illy along with Giacomo in the early 90’s. He began his career in Controlling and Administration, then transitioned into Sales and eventually became Sales Director for Italy for the Modern Trade and Traditional Distribution. Under his leadership the business grew exponentially.

Paolo Bonsignore
Paolo has over 22 years of experience in multinationals including 7 years in Luxembourg, the US and almost 10 years in illy as Marketing and Direct Channel Director for EMEA. Previously, he worked for Ferrero, Muller, Giovanni Rana in the food industry and Bialetti and ASKO in white goods. For Giovanni Rana he opened the American subsidiary and successfully launched the brand in the US market.

Tatiana Osorio
After her MBA at the prestigious F.I.T. in New York, Tatiana has worked for many years in the fashion industry in the United States as analyst in Nine West and then as International Franchising Manager for Kenneth Cole. She then moved to Italy and went to Bocconi for the Master in Fashion, Experience & Design Management (MAFED). She worked for Tod’s and Bottega Veneta in Vicenza, Italy. Back to New York in 2006 she consulted in sustainable fashion and eventually opened her own leather-good company where she worked for 3 years before selling it. She is now a strategic consultant based in Italy.
